Tuesday Tips

SO :) Linda thought up this idea of Tuesday tips..So here is mine it just a little one for one thing I found interesting.
1. If silver jewellery gets black apply toothpaste and rub it very well.
2. While whisking egg white, add a pinch of salt for quicker results.
3. Coffee will remain fresh longer in the refrigerator.
4. Get more juice from a citrus fruit by warming it slightly in the oven.
5. Potatoes soaked in salt water for 20 minutes will bake more rapidly.
6. Store curry leaves in silver foil, it will last as much as one month.
7. To prevent boiled potatoes from sticking to the grater, always apply little oil on the grater.
8. For clean storage of radish, remove their tops before putting in the refrigerator.
9. To get rid of the smell of eggs in the cakes, add one tablespoon honey to the cake batter while beating it as it will make the taste better, too!
10. If you want to keep any salad fresh for the evening party, first chill the bowl or tray in which you intend to serve your salad.
11. Use squeezed lemon to get rid of bad smells from fingers after peeling garlic or cleaning
12. To avoid milk from spilling, apply glycerine to the rim of vessel.
13. Before roasting a chicken store in the fridge for 24 hrs for richer flavour.
14. Never use metal containers, foil, or dishes with metal trim in the microwave.
15.To remove the odour from flask or thermos, rinse with curd+pinch of salt.
16. If you wax your ashtrays, ashes won't cling, odours won't linger and they can be wiped cleaned easily with a paper towel or disposable tissue.
17. Substitute of wine in recipes is grape juice.
18. If you keep your candles in the freezer they will last longer and drip less.
19. To prevent sticking of ice trays in the freezer, place a sheet of foil or wax paper under them. 20. If Glasses are stuck together, keep them in the fridge and they will separate easily the next day.
21. Citric fruit rinds will remove grease spots from oven tops.
22. If you want drip-free, long-burning candles, put them in the freezer overnight before burning them.
23. Pour leftover coffee in the soil of your plants. It acts as a good fertiliser.
24. Keep the refrigerator free of odours by placing a tsp. of soda bicarbonate in a corner of the fridge.
25. Oil stain may be removed by rubbing the area with a piece of lime dipped in salt.
26. To prevent bad odour in the refrigerator, dip cotton into vanilla essence and keep in the refrigerator.
27. Keep cutlets coated with breadcrumbs 1 hour in the refrigerator before frying. Take out the cutlets, hold in your palm and press lightly all sides. This way the breadcrumbs will stay put and won't mess up while frying. You will also have a crisy coating.
28. Roll each cucumber in a piece of newspaper while storing in refrigerator - this will remain fresh for a week.
29. Wash stale cabbage with salt, water and few ice cubes. This will regain its freshness and kill germs
Well I think thats it for now...:) Hope you find it interesting! :)
